Eastercon 2024

I was reminded in a comment that I have grossly underutilized the “News” portion of this site. I tend to think of posts as blog posts, and I generally mention anything new there.

However! I am going to the UK, to Eastercon in 2024 (which is, as I write, this year) as one of the Guests of Honor. I don’t know my schedule yet — the convention isn’t until the end of March/beginning of April — and I’m both very excited and very nervous. If you live in the UK, or its environs, I hope to see you there.

We’re still discussing the Worldcon this year, which is in Glasgow, also in the UK. That would be in the middle of August 2024.

I don’t really have other news; I sold two more Sagara novels to Mira, the first of which I’m writing now (the sequel to Shards of Glass), and the second probably the next Cast novel.

    Dear Michelle,

    Oh this is exciting news. Hope u have fun! Hope the convention is a success! =0}

    So excited for more books. Love this series so much! It’s like i am spellbound and there watching speechless as things unfold.

    Hi, Michelle, it’s great to see you are still writing prolifically! I hope to see you via virtual link at Levitation. I attended Contrivance, the UK Eastercon, in 1989 in Jersey in the Channel Islands. One of the most memorable cons I ever went to. Hope you can come to Glasgow 2024, the Worldcon, in August. I have registered to attend there, and am on the Publications committee. Have a great time at the 2024 UK Eastercon.

    @Carol: I don’t think I’ll be able to make Glasgow this year. I’d intended to, but we had emergency plumbing (replacing all of the pipes beneath the house and lawn to the city line), which destroyed the basement, and repairing of the basement floors, neither of which were planned expenses =/, and both of which were not small.

    Thank you Michelle, You answered the question I came here looking for an answer to. I’ve just read Shards of Glass and was hoping so much for a sequel. I love Robin, and Raven is so interesting too. I hope we’ll learn more about her, Giselle and the gardens too. Will there be an overlap with Kaylin at all? Hope you enjoy the time here. It doesn’t rain all the time, honest!

    OMG — I really hope you come to Worldcon. I’ve been a fan for years and a friend of mine wanted me to go.

    @Dieirdra: Up until our plumbing and basement disaster, I’d intended to go to Glasgow — but those two stretched our household expenses to the point where Glasgow wasn’t feasible this year =/.
